The Competition Authority, which can be described as a semi-public and semi-autonomous free market regulator, had opened an investigation against Whatsapp and Facebook in recent months. This investigation had occupied the agenda of the public intensely due to the new privacy and data usage agreement that the company almost imposed on users, and it had the potential to impose a very high administrative fine.
In today's announcement by the institution, it was shared with the public that WhatsApp will not implement the contract that is considered to violate privacy, INCLUDING APPROVED USERS, in Turkey.
Since Whatsapp is the choice of almost everyone for messaging and it concerns my professional field, I found it beneficial to share this development with you.
